Meet the Licensed Esthetician Behind This Case
"My goal has always been simple: help clients feel confident in their skin"
Skin Concerns & Treatment Goals
Main concern - dry, dull, textured skin
Visible signs - dry, dull, textured skin
Treatment time - 60 minutes
Protocol goal - help the skin look smoother, fresher, more hydrated, and more radiant
Key steps - cleansing, dermaplaning, HydroDiamond, oxygen infusion, oxygen dome, red LED, and finishing care
Visible result - smoother-looking texture, fresher glow, more even light reflection, and a calmer-looking finish
What the Skin Was Showing
There was buildup on the surface that made the texture look less smooth and prevented light from reflecting evenly.
The upper layers looked low in water, so the skin appeared less plump and less luminous.
Mild redness may suggest surface sensitivity, dryness in the stratum corneum, and possible barrier stress, making superficial blood vessels appear more visible.
Key insight:
1. Double Cleanse
![]()
What was done:
GlyMed Plus Vitamin C Cream Cleanser + Glycolic Acid Cleanser.
Why:
The surface film needed to be removed before the active steps.
What happened in the skin:
Oil, sunscreen, makeup residue, and debris were removed from the surface of the stratum corneum. The Glycolic Acid Cleanser helped soften and loosen dry surface buildup, making the skin better prepared for dermaplaning and HydroDiamond refinement.
2. Dermaplaning
What was done:
A 10D blade was used to remove vellus hair and superficial buildup.
Why:
Dry corneocytes, surface buildup, and fine facial hair can make the stratum corneum look rougher and cause light to reflect unevenly.
What happened in the skin:
Dermaplaning reduced micro-roughness at the surface level, creating a smoother canvas. A smoother surface reflects light more evenly and prepares the skin for enzyme refinement, oxygen serum application, and finishing care.
3. HydroDiamond Treatment
![]()
What was done:
This step was performed using the HydroDiamond handpiece with an Acrylic Tip together with Serum with Lactic Acid — Zemits HydroClear PRO.
Why:
The skin needed additional refinement, but in a more fluid-based, moisture-supportive phase.
What happened in the skin:
At the stratum corneum level, HydroDiamond helped address remaining surface buildup and create a more even surface. At the same time, the skin came into direct contact with a formula built around Lactic Acid, Rosemary Extract, and Royal Jelly.
How it helped:
Lactic Acid supported gentle surface renewal by helping loosen uneven buildup of dry corneocytes.
Rosemary Extract added botanical antioxidant support, helping the skin look fresher after refinement.
Royal Jelly helped condition the surface, supporting a softer, more nourished-looking finish.
4. Oxygen Infusion
![]()
What was done:
The OxyRevive modality on the Zemits OxiVelour PRO atomized Serum with Peptides (Zemits OxyTight PRO) into a fine oxygen mist.
Why:
After refinement, the surface was better prepared for lightweight hydrating formulas.
What happened in the skin:
The oxygen mist helped the serum spread evenly across the prepared surface and maintain better contact with the stratum corneum, supporting a smoother, more hydrated-looking finish.
How it helped:
Peptides — supported the appearance of smoother, firmer-looking skin.
Hyaluronic Acid — attracted and held water at the surface, helping the skin look more plump and hydrated.
Argan Oil — softened the surface and helped the finish look smoother and more comfortable.
5. Oxygen Dome + Red LED Light Therapy
![]()
What was done:
The Oxygen Dome modality on the Zemits OxiVelour PRO was used together with Red LED Light Therapy for 10 minutes.
Why:
After the active refinement and serum infusion steps, the skin needed a comfortable finishing phase to support a balanced-looking result.
Synergy:
The Oxygen Dome created a localized oxygen-rich finishing environment while the topical serum layer was already on the skin. This helped the complexion look fresher, more rested, and more radiant.
At the same time, red light at 630 nm provided light-based support through photobiomodulation logic. It interacts with light-sensitive cellular structures in the epidermis and superficial skin environment, supporting cellular energy signaling.
6. Finishing Products
What was done:
GlyMed Plus finishing products were applied.
Why:
After all protocol steps, the skin needed to preserve the hydrated-looking result, support barrier comfort, and reduce moisture loss from the surface.
What happened in the skin:
The finishing products created a supportive layer over the stratum corneum, helping reduce moisture loss and maintain a smoother skin feel.
Protocol Synergy. Why It Worked
This result came from the way each step supported the next
Ashley first prepared the skin surface, then supported the skin with targeted formulas and finishing technologies
